I am looking for a Wifi / BT card that supports airdrop / air play / hand off etc. I have rigged up an Nvidia 1050 Ti eGPU via Thunderbolt 1 link and connected external monitor to the eGPU and the whole setup worked well for me until new OS update which has blocked the eGPU support for non Thunderbolt 3 machines - that is really a shame.

These drivers alone have not changed Nvidia eGPU incompatibility in macOS High Sierra. Nvidia has released its 10.13 (17A365) compatible web drivers. I hope this would guide you guys in getting the 1000 series working! I am not online often but I will try my best to answer your questions! We’re hoping he can find a workaround for Nvidia eGPU in High Sierra. Rebooting into BIOS and changing setting solved the problem. I rebooted the device (both monitors on GTX) and as expected, it did not work, since MOBO was set to IGFX. For some reason using launchpad will log me out, I suspect the cache limi on the iGPU so I plugged both monitors to the GTX1080 and it works perfectly (system preferences shows 3 monitors connected, which was weird) System Report shows 2 GPU simultaneously (iGPU and dGPU). The GTX1080 was still attached to the MOBO and I thought what if I connect one of the monitors to it? (I have two) AND IT WORKED!!! There is no support for any RTX 20XX series Nvidia GPU on any version of MacOS. Meanwhile I came across this post (problem 5) and changed it to my Mojave build number anyway. Currently the most powerful Nvidia GPU you can use on MacOS is a 1080Ti (or 10 series Titan) using Nvidia latest WebDrivers, however those drivers only work up to MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6+, they do not work on Mojave or Catalina. iGPU worked but there were glitches here and there so I did some finetuning. config file, then set the MOBO to IGFX (with multiple monitor support).

notes, reminders), but I read about the lack of Catalina GTX 1080 support and I decided to use the iGPU until the driver comes. I wanna get Catalina since the apple apps aren't backward compatible (e.g. So I was installing mackintosh the first time today, started with High Sierra and the NVIDIA Drivers, huge success. I suspected this method would work on Mojave as well (not yet tried)

Update to macOS High Sierra, version 10.13.5 Do this by Apple > About This Mac > Software Update. Do not connect the eGPU to your Macbook until instructed. I will try to include as many details as possible so the community can replicate. Using an NVIDIA eGPU with OSX Installation Instructions Connecting the eGPU.
